The Anti-Flock Coalition

Anti ALPR Coalition
Wilmington is under warrantless AI surveillance — every drive past a camera is logged, kept, and searchable. It’s time to act.
The movement

You Are Not Alone in This

Ending ALPR surveillance is a fight thousands are already in — nationally, across the South, and town by town in North Carolina. Here’s who’s organizing, so you can find them, link arms, and join in. Running an effort in your NC town? Tell us and we’ll list you.

Our movement is only as strong as our relationships. We cross-link on purpose — a win anywhere is a blueprint everywhere.

“You’ve got civil libertarians who voted proudly for Harris and civil libertarians who’ve got a MAGA hat in their closet, and they’re united on this issue.”
— Chris Cooper, chair of political science, Western Carolina University
A blueprint you can hand your board

Organizing in another North Carolina town? We drafted a model ‘public-vote-first’ resolution any board of commissioners or council can adopt — a public vote before deployment, nationwide data-sharing shut off, mandatory monthly external audits, and hard vendor limits. The floor if a board won’t remove the technology.

Add your voice: be in a “Voices of Wilmington” video

We’re filming short, 20–30-second videos of everyday residents — every age, background, and party — saying, in their own words, why warrantless Flock surveillance worries them. A mom, a veteran, a gun owner, a nurse, a pastor, a student, an immigrant, an attorney — all landing on the same line: no warrant, no cameras. You record it on your phone; we help with the rest. Prefer not to show your face? We can film you in silhouette or run just your voice.

Stand Up Publicly — On Your Terms

Numbers move commissioners; names move them more. If you want the County to see a real New Hanover resident behind this, add yours below — and only yours. We never publish petition signers, we never show your email, and you decide exactly what appears. Ask us to remove you anytime, and it’s gone.

We’ll list only your first name and area — like “Sarah — Ogden.” Your email is never shown, never sold, never shared. This is a public listing you’re choosing; one click unsubscribes and removes you. Prefer to stay private? The petition and the meeting reminders don’t list anyone.

New Hanover Neighbors on the Record

This list grows as residents opt in above. Every name here asked to be listed — no one was added from the petition or the mailing list.

Be the first name your commissioners see. Add yours above — it takes ten seconds.

Fighting Flock in your North Carolina town?

Send us your group, your site, and your status. We’ll add you to the directory and the tracker, cross-link you, and share the records and language that worked here. The more of us link up, the harder we are to ignore.

Your move

You’re not a suspect. So stop being tracked like one.

It takes one minute. Add your name, then tell your county commissioners to cancel the Flock contract.
